Joan Francesc Julian

Dr. Joan Francesc Julián graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1983. He is a specialist in Mammary Pathology and Doctor of Medicine since 1993 with Cum Laude mention.

Nowadays he is the Surgery Service Head, the Mammary Pathology Unit Surgical Coordinator and advisory member of the Clinical Investigation Ethical Committee (CIEC) of the University Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol in Badalona.

He is also member of the Internal Scientific Committee (ISC) of the Germans Trias i Pujol Health Sciences Investigation Institute (IGTP) and Barcelona Autonomous University (UAB) Surgery Department Secretary and Adjunct Professor.

He is accredited as animal investigative personnel by the General Directorate for Production and Food-processing Industries of the Agriculture, Livestock and Fishing Department of the Catalan Autonomous Government and he is also an advisory member of the Animal Experimentation Ethical Committee (AEEC) of the IGTP.

Dr. Julián has been supervising professor of General and Digestive Surgery formation specialists since 2009 and member for 11 years of the evaluation committee to obtain the Surgery and surgical specialities Doctorate program Advanced Studies Diploma (ASD).

Since November, 2015 he is a member of the ANECA and AQU senior academics staff.

In the scientific slope he obtained a scholarship in the Miami University School of Medicine Transplants Surgery Division in the United States of America (USA) and has been involved in more than one dozen of investigation projects.

His work has result in numerous publications in high prestige international magazines and he has been rewarded with prizes granted by different institutions and scientific societies.
